SUPPORT TO OUR FRENCH-SPEAKING SCHOOL OF ASSAYTA
Mission Enfance has created, and supported for the last 22 years, a French-speaking school in Assayta in the Afar region of Ethiopia. We have trained the teachers, refugees of the Djibouti Republic, in order for them to take on the future of their school.
A local NGO (DARA, Mission Enfance’s partner) is composed of pupils’ parents and our teachers. The teachers today are nearly autonomous although having encountered serious budget difficulties. They are totally isolated in the Ethiopian desert. Mission Enfance will send them an endowment to support them for their functioning expenses to finance their teacher’s training and participate to the children’s meals and care.
DARA, local association created by Mission Enfance in 2002.
