Context
: Mission Enfance
has been working in Lebanon since
1993. This country is suffering
from the successive wars assaulting
it for so long... Poverty is increasing
year in year out in dramatic proportions
for many. Since 2008, we have have
sponsored 237 children in six centres
in Beirut, in the suburbs and since
2007, in the Bekaa Valley, offering
them the possibility to persuie
a normal schooling in a solid environment,
with a performant school support
which will allow them to seriously
consider their future.
In Roueisset, we have been supporting
from the start Sister Hanan's animation
centre, where children get school
backup. The free health clinic (dispensary),
bought in 2006, are nearly finished.
Mission Enfance is taking on all
of the work done, as welle as the
nurse's salary and will also participate
to the functioning expenses the
first year.
After having financed and obtained
the certificate of property of Deir
Al Ahmar land, in the Bekaa Valley,
we are planning the constrcution
of a greeting and school support
centre for these isolated children.
In Ajeltoun, in the St Joseph home,
supported by sponsoring, we are
planning to build a center of psychomotricity
for children who encounter physical
and mental difficulties. We have
already given 6.226 € for the
purchase of the material in 2007.
Aim
of projects : Offer
a normal children and a steady environment
to the underpriviledged children
of Beirut. Give medical care to
poor families of the Roueisset neighbourhood.
Educate children (school support),
animate and accompany the young
ones in order to pull them away
from drugs and bring social training
to the mothers in Deir Al Ahmar
in the Bekaa Valley.
