Context
of the project :
Mission Enfance has been working
in Iraqi Kurdistan for 15 years.
Emergency, reconstruction of schools
and villages, equipment in villages
and in these last years, construction
and equipment of an International
Secondary School, have given the
association the expertise concerning
this region. The actual situation
of Iraq and notably the one of Iraqi
Kurdistan, with the massive arrival
of the population fleeying from
terror in Mossul and Baghdad, encourages
Mission Enfance to pursue its support
to this region. The economical situation
of Iraqi Kurdistan is still difficult
in this context. The population
needs to by trained to basic professions,
in order to stop the depopulation
and allow the young people to work.
We have constructed a first Professional
training centre in Barzan in 2007
and have in project to construct
a second one in Tanahi, in the suburbs
of Dohuk for the inhabitants of
the collective village. The equipment
and functioning of these centres
are fully taken in charge by the
Barzani Foundation.
Aim
of project : Restart
the local initiative of the young
people of the collective village
of Tanahi.
Description
of project : Build
a 700 m² Professional Training
Centre. This centre will propose
professions such as woodwork, sewing,
mecanics. Teachers will form the
students in 3 classrooms functioning
in shift. The Mission Enfance team,
under the management of Wahid Atrushi,
assures the construction of the
centre. The "Barzani Charity
Foundation » has commited
itselft to equip the centre and
