Context
: The great lack
of education of this valley was
terrific a few years ago. Since
2005, year of our first mission
in Afghanistan, our aim to give
girls and boys an education, is
unfolding year after year. We have
built 4 schools in this region of
the Panjshir.
Our first school of Dan-e Rewat
functions today with 450 pupils.
In 2011, according to the agreement
taken with the Board of Education,
this school has entirely been taken
on by the Afghan government. We
could just give a support to buy
the uniforms and school equipment.
Also, we will be building the sports
ground for this school that becomes
a model of education in the region
and that is actually on the verge
of becoming a secondary school.
We will be equiping the school
of Douabe Rawak that we built in
2011, with uniforms and school material.
In 2012, Mission Enfance is planning
to construct and equip the School
of Paz Mazâr, a very poor
village located on the confines
of the Panjshir. This school will
allow 238 girls and boys to be educated.
For the time beeing, the children
pursue their lessons outdoor or
in the mosque, with 6 teachers.
This school will be taken on by
the Afghan board of Education and
the site has been given to the village
by private land owners, for the
construction of the building.
